Who We Are
MP Strength & Conditioning (“MPSC”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a strength and conditioning coaching business based in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, operated by Matt Pecile. Our website is mpstrength.com.
Contact: matt@mpstrength.com
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, how we protect it, and the rights you have over it under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA — the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act) and Canadian anti-spam law (CASL — Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation).
What Information We Collect
We only collect information you provide directly to us through forms on our website or through other communications (email, phone, in-person).
When you submit a contact or intake form, we collect:
- Your full name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your service interest (the type of training you're asking about)
- Any message or details you include in the free-text fields
When you sign up for our email list, we collect:
- Your email address
- Your first name (if provided)
- Your consent preferences (which types of email you agree to receive)
- The date and method of your consent (required under CASL)
When you visit our website, our hosting provider automatically collects:
- Anonymized IP address
- Browser type and device type
- Pages visited and referring source
This information is used only to understand how the website is being used. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.
We do not collect:
- Credit card or banking information through this website. All payments are processed through our coaching platform (ABC Trainerize) or in person.
- Health information through this website. Health intake information (PAR-Q, medical history, informed consent) is collected separately in person or through our coaching platform after you have become a client.
- Information about children under the age of 18 without parental consent.
Why We Collect It and How We Use It
We use your personal information only for the purposes you gave it to us:
- To respond to your inquiry. If you fill out a contact or intake form, we use your information to reply to you and set up a consultation.
- To deliver coaching services. Once you become a client, we use your information to communicate with you about your training, scheduling, progress, and billing.
- To send you email you asked for. If you sign up for our email list, we send you only the types of email you agreed to receive.
- To improve our services. We review inquiry patterns and website usage in aggregate to understand what prospective clients are asking about.
We will not use your information for any other purpose without your consent, and we will not sell, rent, or share your information with any third party for their marketing purposes — ever.
How We Store and Protect It
Your information is stored on servers operated by the following service providers:
- Website and form submissions: Formspree (United States). When you submit a form on our site, the data is transmitted to Formspree, which delivers it to our business email.
- Email list and marketing email: Kit (United States), once our email system is live.
- Business email: Google Workspace (United States and Canada).
- Client coaching platform: ABC Trainerize (Canada).
Because some of these providers are based in the United States, your information may be transferred outside of Canada for processing and storage. U.S. providers may be subject to U.S. laws, including laws allowing government access to information under certain conditions. By submitting a form on our site or subscribing to our email list, you consent to this cross-border transfer.
We have chosen these providers because they publish security practices including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encryption at rest, and access controls. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted over the internet.
We limit access to your information to Matt Pecile and any future authorized coaches or administrators who need access to do their job. We do not share your information with anyone else.
How Long We Keep It
- Inquiries that do not become clients: We keep inquiry information for up to 24 months, so we can follow up if you re-engage. After that, we delete it.
- Clients: We keep your information for the duration of your coaching relationship and for 7 years after the relationship ends, to comply with Canadian tax and business record-keeping requirements.
- Email list subscribers: We keep your email and consent record for as long as you are subscribed, plus 3 years after you unsubscribe (required under CASL).
You can ask us to delete your information sooner. See “Your Rights” below.
Email, Consent, and Opt-Out (CASL)
Under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), we can only send you commercial electronic messages (marketing or promotional email) if you have given us express consent (opted in) or have implied consent (for example, as a current or recent client). Every email we send includes our business name, contact information, and an easy way to unsubscribe.
Types of email we may send:
- Transactional / Service email (appointment reminders, billing, program updates, client communication). These are not marketing and are sent as part of our coaching service. You cannot opt out of these while you are an active client.
- Newsletter (training articles, tips, business updates). Opt-in only.
- Promotional (special offers, new program launches, discounts). Opt-in only.
- Re-engagement (occasional check-ins if you were previously a client or previously subscribed). You can opt out at any time.
When you subscribe, you will be able to choose which of these you want to receive. You can change your preferences or unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in the footer of any email we send, or by emailing us directly at matt@mpstrength.com.
We honour all unsubscribe requests within 10 business days, as required by CASL.
Cookies and Tracking
Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential cookies that are required for the site to function properly.
- Analytics (Vercel Analytics and/or Google Analytics, once configured). These tell us, in aggregate, how many people visit which pages so we can improve the site. They do not identify you personally.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking. If we ever add any of these, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
Your Rights
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct any information that is inaccurate or out of date.
- Withdraw consent to our use of your information (subject to legal and contractual restrictions).
- Delete your information, subject to our retention obligations above.
- File a complaint with us or with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
To exercise any of these rights, email us at matt@mpstrength.com. We will respond within 30 days.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will post a notice on our website and update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of our website or services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
